Because who is perfect?

Have you ever seen a Deformed Mannequin???

Here’s something that will pull you out of the world that is obsessed with perfection.

Director Alain Gsponer has captured this amazing campaign as a short film.

Pro Infirmis, an organisation for the disabled, has made an attempt to make people take notice of the discrepancy and represent the feelings of a large chunk of the population on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities. For the initiative, the organisation attempted to raise awareness among the citizens of Zurich, Germany, and dressed up a store window with mannequins that were not factory-made, perfect-proportioned figures, but suitably changed to represent real people with real disabilities/deformities such as scoliosis, brittle bone disease or shortened limbs. The entire process of making these custom-made ‘imperfect’ mannequins, captured in a video, was shared on December 2 in an attempt to encourage acceptability of disabled people in the society.
